Landscape designer Daniel Lee will talk about two climate-resilient landscape projects at this pop-up talk. Located in Abbey Ward, Cambridge, these two landscape schemes have been carefully designed to maximise wildlife and habitat creation while also providing valuable amenity space for the residents of Barnwell. The projects utilise novel planting techniques and take a progressive approach to urban greening.
The schemes prioritise native flora, including wildflowers and native shrubs, with a strong focus on habitat creation, while also ensuring a balance between ecological function and visual appeal. Designed to re-establish a natural ecological corridor, these projects contribute to local nature recovery.
Funded through a range of grants, the projects serve as exemplars of biodiversity-led public realm design. This talk offers a unique opportunity to explore the schemes and engage with Teasels’ principal, and the client, Abbey People.
