Shared Knowledge is Shared Power Symposium

  • Elena Hall 22 Jesus Lane Cambridge, England, CB5 8BQ United Kingdom (map)

The Cambridge Room is delighted to invite you to Jesus College on 16th May 2025 to explore, celebrate and interrogate community-led research in Cambridge and the wider region.

This symposium will highlight the latest developments in community-led research in Cambridge, providing a platform for local organisations to showcase existing knowledge, identify gaps, and stimulate discussion. It will offer valuable insights for community groups, policy makers, and academics by sharing best practices, available resources, opportunities, and challenges. The event will also help shape the future direction of the Cambridge Room programme.

Nine community organisations from Cambridge, alongside six leading community organisations from elsewhere in the UK, will share their experiences. Each organisation will present a brief overview of their work, and a case study of community engaged research.

The selected case studies will reflect a range of research questions related to placemaking, diverse research teams and methods, and a variety of research outcomes.
