Jojo Jenner

Jojo is a part-time PhD student who has worked in Local Authority Social Housing since graduating from his undergraduate degree in 2023.

With a BA in Architecture from the University of Cambridge, and an MA in Sociology from the University of Birmingham, he is developing an interdisciplinary practice through this PhD. Looking to apply the Public Map Platform’s social mapping framework in social housing estates, the project aims to map the social, cultural and environmental life of a housing estate and then interrogate how these mapping layers can best be utilised to shape the estate’s management. The motivations of this work are underpinned by the post-Grenfell regulatory landscape in social housing, where it is finally acknowledged that tenants and residents should be meaningfully empowered to influence the management of their homes.
